Elijah

Mendelssohn’s Elijah

Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah oratorio is a powerful musical masterpiece that weaves together storytelling from the Old Testament to create a deeply striking experience for audiences.

Drawing inspiration from biblical narratives from the Old Testament, this work showcases the dramatic tale of the prophet Elijah, capturing the essence of human struggle, triumph, and redemption through richly orchestrated melodies and captivating choral arrangements.

Our performance brings together two of PMF’s key programmes, the Foundation Choir (comprised of Foundation Scholars and Teacher-Singers) and the Pimlico Chorus.
